The content on this website is mainly developed for 4WD owners and off-road enthusiasts. We do not cater to generic queries related to the general automotive industry but try to keep the content structure tight and on point with the 4WD and offroad industry. I assume most of my readers are in fact the outdoorsy type and hands-on DIY people as many of my suggestions are about how to perform certain upgrades, repairs, or fault-finding yourself. You should have a basic knowledge of how a vehicle functions and limited knowledge about 4WD systems. Many 4WD concepts are explained in simple terms with the beginner 4WD owner in mind.
The goal of the content is to explain common 4WD issues and off-road driving techniques. Terminology and lingo are kept basic and to a minimum with the end goal being to educate and assist an offroad enthusiast in troubleshooting a specific problem or driving technique. The goal is also to educate 4WD owners on the basics of 4WD, Offroad, and Overlanding concepts as best we can in easy-to-understand English.
Our preferred content format is to write up a short and very comprehensive article without any fluff and possibly integrate a video where possible for a more visual demonstration or explanation. Its not always possible but I try my best to incorporate both elements as best I can. Custom images are also shared to make the experience and solution more specific not just give a generic or stock photo.
Our style is to keep things simple with lots of graphics and videos to make it as pleasant as possible. The goal is to create the best UX (User Experience) while learning or finding a quick but comprehensive solution to your problem.
My editorial process includes a combination of personal experience, online research, offline research, and interviews with industry experts. I try to incorporate a combination of them all in most cases. Over the last 24 years, I’ve owned a series of diverse 4WD vehicles and therefore had the opportunity to troubleshoot a variety of technical and mechanical issues ranging from Land Rovers to Mitsubishi, Toyota, VW, and Ford.
Due to my technical background and hands-on experience, I decided to develop this platform to knowledge-share and unpack technical 4WD-related issues in a simple and accurate manner in order to assist and educate other 4WD owners. On a daily basis, I thoroughly research 4WD guides, TSB (Technical Service Bulletins), manuals, and online forums, and even liaise with mechanical experts to understand the issues and possible solutions available.
